【摘要】:Thedryingshrinkageofmortarasdeterminedbythistestmethodisameasureofthedecreaseinlengthoftestspecimensundercontrolleddryingconditions,afteraninitialperiodofmoistcuring.Sincetestspecimensarenotcompletelyunrestrainedduringtheinitialperiodofmoistcuring,measurementsofdryingshrinkagebythistestmethodaremostusefulforcomparativepurposesratherthanasabsolutevalues.Thedryingshrinkageofunrestrainedlaboratorytestedmortarsamplesisdifferentfromthatexperiencedinamasonrywallwhereinfluencesincluderestraint,masonryunitabsorption,ambienttemperatureandhumidity,thicknessofjoint,lengthofcontinuouswall,etc.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofunrestraineddryingshrinkageofmasonrymortars.1.2ThistestmethodisapplicabletoSpecificationC270TypeN,TypeS,andTypeMmortarsunderthepropertyorproportionspecifications.Duetothetendencytodamagelowerstrengthspecimensduringdemolding,itisnotapplicabletolowerstrengthmortars,suchasTypeOmortars.1.3Thistestmethodisintendedforresearchpurposesonly.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
