【摘要】:ThetestmethodsinthismethodaredesignedtoshowwhetheragivenmaterialisinaccordancewithSpecificationC922.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresfortheanalysisofsinteredgadoliniumoxide-uraniumdioxidepelletstodeterminecompliancewithspecifications.1.2Theanalyticalproceduresappearinthefollowingorder:1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4Thistestmethoddescribesthedeterminationofnitrogeningadoliniumoxide-uraniumdioxidepellets(Gd2O3/UO2).Witha2to5-gsample,concentrationsfrom5to100gofnitrogenaredeterminedwithoutinterference.1.5ThehomogeneityofGd2O3inUO2hasbeencitedinSpecificationC922asanimportantrequirementforthisfuelform.Theuniformdistributionofgadoliniainuraniawillresultinuptothreecomponentsinthepellet:freeGd2O3,freeUO2,andaGd2O3-UO2solidsolution.Thereareanumberofwaysforassessinguniformityofwhichtheceramographicmethoddescribedheremaynotbethemostdefinitive.Thistechniquehasbeenusedoverthegadoliniaconcentrationrangefrom1to10weight%.
