【摘要】:Thistestmethodevaluates,underthespecifiedtestconditions:(1)theabilityofafireresistivejointsystemtoundergomovementwithoutreducingthefireratingoftheadjacentfireseparatingelementsand(2)thedurationforwhichtestspecimenswillcontainafireandretaintheirintegrityduringapredeterminedtestexposure.Thistestmethodprovidesforthefollowingmeasurementsandevaluationswhereapplicable:5.2.1Capabilityofthejointsystemtomovementcycle.5.2.2Loadbearingcapacityofthejointsystem.5.2.3Abilityofthejointsystemtoprohibitthepassageofflamesandhotgases.5.2.4Transmissionofheatthroughthejointsystem.5.2.5Abilityofthejointsystem,thatisanextensionofawall,toresistthepassageofwaterduringahosestreamtest.Thistestmethoddoesnotprovidethefollowing:5.3.1Evaluationofthedegreebywhichthejointsystemcontributestothefirehazardbygenerationofsmoke,toxicgases,orotherproductsofcombustion.5.3.2Measurementofthedegreeofcontrolorlimitationofthepassageofsmokeorproductsofcombustionthroughthejointsystem.5.3.3Measurementofflamespreadoverthesurfaceofthejointsystem.Note18212;Theinformationin5.3.1-5.3.3maybedeterminedbyothersuitablefiretestmethods.Forexample,5.3.3maybedeterminedbyTestMethodE84.5.3.4Evaluationofjointsformedbytheratedornon-ratedexteriorwallsandthefloorsofthebuilding.Inthisprocedure,thetestspecimensaresubjectedtooneormorespecificsetsoflaboratorytestconditions.Whendifferenttestconditionsaresubstitutedortheend-useconditionsarechanged,itisnotalwayspossibleby,orfrom,thistestmethodtopredictchangestothecharacteristicsmeasured.Therefore,theresultsarevalidonlyfortheexposureconditionsdescribedinthistestmethod.1.1Thisfire-test-responsetestmethodmeasurestheperformanceofjointsystemsdesignedtobeusedwithfireratedfloorsandwallsduringafireendurancetestexposure.Thefireendurancetestendpointistheperiodoftimeelapsingbeforethefirstperformancecriteriaisreachedwhenthejointsystemissubjectedtooneoftwotime-temperaturefireexposures.1.2ThefireexposureconditionsusedareeitherthosespecifiedbyTestMethodE119fortestingassembliestostandardtime-temperatureexposuresorTestMethodE1529fortestingassembliestorapid-temperaturerisefires.1.3Thistestmethodspecifiestheheatingconditions,methodsoftest,andcriteriafortheevaluationoftheabilityofajointsystemtomaintainthefireresistancewherehourlyratedfire-separatingelementsmeet.1.4Testresultsestablishtheperformanceofjointsystemsduringthefire-exposureperiodandshallnotbeconstruedashavingdeterminedthejointsystemssuitabilityforuseafterthatexposure.1.5Thistestmethoddoesnotprovidequantitativeinformationaboutthejointsystemrelativetotherateofleakageofsmokeorgasesorboth.However,itrequiresthatsuchphenomenabenotedandreportedwhendescribingthegeneralbehaviorofjointsystemsduringthefireendurancetestbutisnotpartoftheconditionsofcompliance.1.6Potentiallyimportantfactorsandfirecharacteristicsnotaddressedbythistestmethodinclude,butarenotlimitedto:1.6.1Theperformanceofthefire-resistivejointsystemconstructedwithcomponentsotherthanthosetested.1.6.2Thecyclicmovementcapabilitiesofjointsystemsotherthanthecyclingconditi......
